We were there for 1 night in late October 2023. The location was superb. Right in the center of downtown Reykjavik. Just a couple of minutes walk from the rainbow road and lots of dining options nearby. The hotel had a "baby cot" ready for us. It was like a pack n play and my 15 months old baby slept through the night in it. I had booked for a "studio" but we got upgraded to a 2 bedroom apartment! It was a nice surprise and very nice to have baby sleep in one room and the parents in another room. The kitchen was equipped with everything we could possibly need. Lots of power outlets for our electronic needs. The breakfast selection was decent (boiled eggs, fresh bread, croissants, pastries, cold cut meats & cheese, fruits, Icelandic herring, coffee juice milk tea). It seemed like a typical selection for hotels that offered breakfast. We stayed in 6 different places during our time in Iceland and 3 hotels that had free breakfast had pretty much the same selection. The other 3 were either Airbnb or just didn't have breakfast included. The staff at the restaurant were very friendly and offered to give my baby warm milk without us asking. A comfortable stay. Free parking space by the "apartment" section of the hotel.

Loved the staff - very friendly & the hotel includes breakfast which is handy & does dinner - and the restaurant is fantastic! Right next door, you don’t even have to go out into the street if you don’t feel like it & you’ve had a long day, so it’s very good for those who gave big adventure activities planned in the day & just want to come back and relax in the evening. Very clean, spacious room, and has an elevator - so no worries for those with big luggage :) An extra plus - the day of my departure I had to leave very early (5.30am) to catch my flight - and couldn’t make the usual breakfast time of 8am, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that the the hotel staff had prepared a takeaway brekkie for me to take with me! So sweet and thoughtful :) Love Iceland & this hotel is the perfect stay to enjoy :)

Unique, stylish and cozy hotel right on the main shopping street. It doesn't get more centrally located than this. There's actually a lot of rooms within the compound but they have managed to maintain a small scale feel. Our room was just lovely, with plenty of space and very well designed and very clean. Amazing how quiet it was inside when outside there were some late night party people having a good time. We had the family room that came with a nice living compartment in between the two super comfortable bedrooms. Comfy couch, huge flatscreen tv. There's plenty of parking close by in different zones. We were there on the weekend when Zone 3 is free. It was about 5 -10 min walk. Breakfast was okay, little less varied as some other places we stayed in Iceland but still plenty to choose from.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Fron! From the time of booking to the end, we were so looked after. I had a few questions about tours and bus stops even before we got there and I always had a prompt answer. Our flat was ready and we were allowed an early check in which made such a difference to our comfort! We left at 6am on the last day and staff had thoughtfully packed a breakfast for us to take! The flat was a good size, warm and comfortable and the beds were very comfortable. It was great to have a microwave and fridge and little amenities. The hotel is centrally placed and very near to shops, restaurants and had a great vibe! We would like to extend our thanks to all the staff , especially the Reception staff for their wonderful hospitality!

The room was clean and the staff was helpful and friendly. I arrived early at the hotel and the room was already ready, so I could check in early. That was nice after a 7 hour flight! The breakfast was okay, but since it was included in the price it was a nice option. I also got a bigger room (maybe it was an upgrade made by booking.com?), which was really nice and even came with a kitchen. The room didn’t have any view though (you were looking directly into another rooms windows and an outdoor hallway), which didn’t bother me at all, since I explored the city and surrounding area the whole time and only came to the room for sleeping. Overall, not only because of the perfect location, I would definitely consider staying there again.
